VP- Federal and Commercial Contracts
Overview
This role is responsible for leading the pricing,
negotiation, and execution of federal and commercial contracts in compliance
with all applicable requirements.
You will oversee the performance and growth of contracts
operations, serve as a key external liaison, and ensure continued innovation
and expansion within the organization’s federal contracting portfolio.
This position also plays a key leadership role in advancing
a mission focused on creating employment opportunities for individuals with
differing abilities.
What You’ll Do
Financial Management & Contract Strategy
- Lead
pricing, negotiation, and re-pricing of contracts - Oversee
budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance - Ensure
contracts operate within approved funding levels
Compliance & Risk Management
- Maintain
compliance with federal regulations and program requirements - Prepare
for audits, inspections, and reviews - Monitor
regulatory changes and adapt strategy proactively
Operations & Team Leadership
- Oversee
performance across contract sites and service lines - Lead,
develop, and support a large contracts management team - Ensure
quality standards and operational excellence
Growth & External Partnerships
- Build
and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners - Identify
new opportunities to expand contracts and funding - Represent
the organization at industry events and engagements
What You Bring
Required
- Senior
leadership experience (VP level or similar) - Strong
background in federal contracting - Experience
with AbilityOne programs - Expertise
in financial management, pricing, and negotiation - Ability
to lead large, complex teams and operations
Preferred
- Experience
in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations - Background
in facilities management, custodial, or grounds services - Experience
working with individuals with disabilities
