People with Disabilities Sites
Empowered Cities is a collaboration with Citi co-chaired by the Offices of Disability of Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco and spearheaded by New York City Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities.
United Spinal Association is a nonprofit membership, disability rights and veterans service organization in the United States. It was formed in 1946 as Eastern Paralyzed Veterans Association by a group of paralyzed World War II veterans from New York City.
Source America is one of the largest organizations in the country that creates employment opportunities for people with disabilities through its national network of affiliated nonprofit agencies.
Second Chance Sites
Heartland Alliance's READI Chicago links people impacted by gun violence to cognitive behavioral interventions, paid transitional jobs, and wrap-around support services.
Part of the JobPath family of sites which offers K-12 students with links to resources such as mental health programs, food assistance, housing support, volunteer opportunities, and education.
