Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 434 Accepting Apprentice applications
Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 434. Apprenticeship is a combination of on-the-job training and related classroom instruction. Plumbers are required to take 572 hours of day school training and 260 hours of night school training and have a total of 8,000 work hours. Steamfitters are required to take 624 hours of day school, up to 300 hours of night school and have 8,124 work hours. Each apprenticeship is five years in length.

It is your responsibility to find a contractor that will start your apprenticeship.
1. Complete the three page application and follow the directions in the packet.
2. Send a copy of your High School Transcript to gkorn@ualocal434.org
3. Send in your ACT or Accuplacer scores taken within the last 5 years to gkorn@ualocal434.org
