CSC Pharmacist PRN

Job Summary and Qualifications

As the CSC Pharmacist, you will be responsible for supervising the Consolidated Services Center (CSC) pharmacy staff and overseeing the packaging and bar-coding operations.

What you will do in this role:

  • You will manage the SMART, PACMED, ConnectRX interfaces to ensure proper drug distribution to CSC customers.
  • You will maintain and validate the operational performance of pharmacy packaging and bar-coding automation technology.
  • You will perform pharmacist checks of packaged and bar-coded pharmaceuticals as required
  • You will provide guidance and oversight for the substitution of therapeutic equivalent products in the case of shortages or back orders.
  • You will be responsible for the integrity and security of all pharmaceuticals stored in the CSC
  • You will assist with training and certification of all personnel involved in CSC pharmaceutical distribution operations.
  • You will assist in the training and development of pharmaceutical pickers, customer service representatives and pharmacy buyers.

What qualifications you will need:

  • B.S. degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D. is required.
  • 5+ years pharmacy experience is preferred
  • Pharmacy supervisory experience is preferred
  • Experience in acute care pharmacy practice is preferred
  • Experience with pharmaceutical repackaging operations and bar coding equipment is preferred
  • Experience working in hospital system software, automation technology, and barcoding and packaging technology is preferred.
  • Current pharmacy license in appropriate state is required.
