* This is a Full Time Day shift position, Monday - Friday. 8-hr.shifts, start time flexible to the needs *
The Chest Pain Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and management of the chest pain program, ensuring adherence to established protocols and guidelines. This role involves data collection, analysis, and reporting to improve patient outcomes and maintain accreditation standards. The Coordinator serves as a resource for staff, physicians, and patients regarding chest pain management.
What You Will Do In This Role:
- Oversee the chest pain program, ensuring compliance with national standards and guidelines.
- Coordinate data collection, analysis, and reporting related to chest pain patients.
- Serve as a liaison between medical staff, nursing staff, and administration regarding chest pain protocols.
- Develop and implement educational programs for staff and patients related to chest pain management.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of chest pain protocols and procedures.
- Collect and analyze data related to chest pain patient outcomes.
- Prepare reports and presentations on chest pain program performance.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to improve patient care.
- Develop and implement educational programs for staff on chest pain management.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding chest pain.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to chest pain care.
- Maintain current knowledge of best practices in chest pain management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Facilitate chest pain committee meetings collaboratively with related staff.
What Requirements You Will Need:
- Associate's Degree in cardiovascular healthcare related field required
- Current BLS issued by the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
- Current ACLS issued by the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
- 3+ years experience in clinical setting, preferably in cardiology or emergency medicine required
- Experience working in Excel, strong data entry skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and prepare reports
